Nickel Alloys Strips: The Ultimate Guide

In recent years, nickel alloys have become a very popular choice for a variety of applications in various industries.

This is because of the great number of physical and chemical properties these alloys have acquired.

But before we dig deeper into the characteristics and applications of nickel alloy strips, let’s take a look at what they are and where they came from.

So enjoy the read...

What are nickel alloys strips?

Nickel alloy strips are made of nickel, which is a silvery white and lustrous metal.

Due to its good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties, Nickel is used as an important material in the aerospace, chemical processing, marine and power generation industries.

Nickel alloy strips resist corrosion in seawater, high temperatures, mild acids and alkalis. They also have high mechanical strength and can be welded easily.

Commonly used nickel alloys are: Alloy 600, 625 and 718; Alloy C22, C276; Alloy 400, K-500; Alloy 800 and 825; Alloy 20, etc.

Nickel alloy strip manufacturing process includes: cold rolling–annealing–cold rolling–annealing–coiling up-slitting.

1.What is nickel alloy 200 strip?

Nickel alloy 200 strip is a commercially pure nickel strip. It is composed of 99.6% nickel. This strip material is commonly used in heat exchangers, evaporators, and radiant heaters.

How nickel alloys strips are made?

The nickel alloys strip that we make here is widely used in a variety of industries, but what exactly is it?

Nickel alloys strip is a flat rolled metal product that has been processed through a cold rolling mill to reduce the thickness and increase the strength of the material.

This process is commonly referred to as cold reducing.

Cold reducing is performed at room temperature, whereas hot rolling reduces metal at temperatures above what is considered room temperature.

Cold reducing results in increased strength, improved surface finish and greater uniformity in size.
