Aluminum strip is a term used for aluminum sheet and foil in rolls with a thickness greater than 0.2mm and a width ranging from 20mm to 100mm.
When produced in narrower widths, it is often referred to as split strip. Aluminum sheets are cut to the required size using slitting tools. The raw material for aluminum strips is either pure aluminum or aluminum alloy, sourced from hot-rolled cast-rolling aluminum coils and hot-rolled coils.
These materials are processed through a cold-rolling machine to achieve various thicknesses and widths.
Subsequently, a vertical cutting and slitting machine is used to produce strips of different widths. When the thickness is less than 0.2mm, it is called an aluminum foil strip or aluminum foil coil.
