UNS S32205 is a duplex stainless steel alloy composed of 22% chromium and 3% molybdenum, also known as W.Nr. 1.4462. This grade offers enhanced resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion compared to 317L stainless steel. It is ideally suited for applications in the temperature range of -50°F to +600°F, though usage beyond this range may be possible with certain limitations, particularly in welded structures.
