UNS S32750 Super Duplex Stainless Steel

Introduction

Overview of UNS S32750 Super Duplex Stainless Steel

Grade UNS S32750 is a super duplex stainless steel that combines the advantageous properties of both ferritic and austenitic steels. Also known as W.Nr. 1.4410, this duplex stainless steel offers greater strength and corrosion resistance compared to S32205. It shows enhanced resistance to corrosion from dilute sulfuric acid combined with chloride ions compared to 904L stainless steel. Additionally, it has a higher yield strength but lower ductility than austenitic stainless steels.

UNS S32750 super duplex steel boasts excellent impact strength; however, it is not recommended for use at temperatures exceeding 570 °F (300 °C), as prolonged exposure can decrease its toughness. This alloy is available in various standard mill forms, including pipes, rods, bars, plates, sheets, strips, and foils.
