Monel 400 strip is a high performance nickel based alloy strip. The high nickel content and high copper content contribute to the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 coil.
Monel 400 also shows resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting in fresh water, is resistant to oxidization and can operate from cryogenic temperatures to 500°F.
Monel 400 is widely used in marine and shipbuilding applications.
